thé glacé citron maison

In summary: Lemon iced tea, combining lemon rich in vitamin C and tea (green, black or white) rich in catechins, creates an antioxidant cocktail that refreshes, hydrates and helps fight cellular aging. Prepare it by infusing 5 tbsp. of organic tea (e.g. Anastasia) for 5 min in 2 L of lukewarm water, add cut lemon, sugar or honey, then cool. Serve chilled with mint for an energizing summer.

The benefits of lemon tea

Lemon has long been recognized for its health benefits. It is rich in vitamin C, or ascorbic acid, but also in flavonoids, plant pigments from the polyphenol family. These antioxidants reduce the damage caused by free radicals, molecules responsible for premature aging.

Green tea also contains polyphenols: catechins. Together, green tea and lemon make an explosive cocktail. It can not only help slow the premature aging of cells, but also the development of certain diseases.

White, green or black: all teas are allowed

Do you prefer black tea? Good news! It is ideal for preparing a homemade lemon iced tea. Indeed, if green and black teas come from the same plant, their main difference lies in their method of preparation.

In the case of green tea, the leaves are simply roasted, thus retaining their color and properties. Black tea leaves are fermented until black. Its taste is also very different: considered more intense, even malty, it goes very well with the tangy flavor of lemon.

Homemade lemon iced tea: the easy recipe

To prepare your homemade drink, nothing could be simpler! You will need some water, sugar, your lemon tea blend of choice, and a lemon.

In a large saucepan, lightly heat, without boiling, 2 liters of water. Then:

1- Dip a tea ball filled with 5 teaspoons ofAnastasia organic

2- Leave to infuse for approximately 5 minutes

3- Meanwhile, wash and cut the lemon into small pieces

4- Remove the tea ball, then let your preparation cool

5- Pour the mixture into a carafe or large bottle, then add the cut lemon

6- Sweeten lightly, before placing your homemade iced tea in the refrigerator for a few hours

There you go! Your delicious beverage is ready to be served chilled, in a glass, with ice cubes. Add one or two mint leaves for a guaranteed festive cocktail effect.

You can also replace the lemon with a lime, more acidic, but also more exotic. Honey or agave syrup can easily replace sugar if you wish.
