What is the difference between tea and infusion?

The main difference between tea and an infusion (or herbal tea) lies in their caffeine content. The tea is prepared from the Camellia sinensis plant and naturally contains caffeine. In contrast, an infusion is prepared from other plants, herbs, spices, flowers or fruits, and is generally caffeine-free, making it ideal for those who want to avoid theine (or caffeine) while still enjoying varied flavors and benefits.
