Water Lilies, a universal masterpiece
2026 marks the centenary of the death of Claude Monet,
who passed away in Giverny in 1926. Having settled in this Normandy village during the
last decades of his life, he created his famous water garden there, which became
his primary source of inspiration.
Until his final days, the painter devoted himself to the Water Lilies series,
a collection of hundreds of paintings exploring the play of light, water reflections
and the ever-changing beauty of nature.
Among the most iconic works in this series are
the monumental Water Lilies panels on display at the Musée de l’Orangerie in
Paris, offering visitors an immersive experience designed by Monet
himself. It is one of these masterpieces, Morning, celebrated for its soft
light and the subtlety of its reflections, that we have chosen to faithfully
reproduce on our products.
