Les nymphéas thé Kusmi Tea

In summary: Kusmi Tea is partnering with the Musée de l’Orangerie in 2026 to launch Les Nymphéas, a green tea inspired by Claude Monet’s work Matin. This exclusive blend combines green tea, lemon, bergamot, ylang-ylang and orange blossom to evoke the sensory world of Giverny. A limited edition celebrating French heritage, Impressionism and the art of blending

An encounter between art and French expertise

What if a work of art could also be tasted?

For this new collaboration, Kusmi Tea has partnered with the Musée de l’Orangerie around one of Claude Monet’s most iconic works: the Nymphéas.

An encounter between two worlds that share the same taste for contemplation and simple pleasures. On one side, Monet’s poetic universe, his quest for light and his gaze upon nature. On the other, Kusmi Tea’s expertise and the art of creating blends that awaken the senses.

From this encounter came Le Thé des Nymphéas, a limited edition inspired by the softness of a spring morning, when nature awakens in delicate light.

At the heart of Claude Monet’s Nymphéas

To imagine this creation, Kusmi Tea drew inspiration from Matin, one of the panels making up Claude Monet’s famous Nymphéas cycle.

Inspired by the garden of flowers and water he created around his home in Giverny, Normandy, Monet tirelessly painted the changing skies, shifting reflections on the water and the water lilies that populated his ponds.

The day after the Armistice of 11 November 1918, the painter offered France his monumental cycle of Nymphéas, conceived as a symbol of peace. Since 1927, its eight immersive compositions have been displayed at the Musée de l’Orangerie and are now among the most iconic works of the Impressionist movement.

With Matin, Kusmi Tea chose a work that particularly evokes light, serenity and contemplation. A delicate, timeless emotion we wanted to convey right into the cup.

Our Les Nymphéas green tea: an exclusive creation

At the heart of this creation, a luminous green tea reveals all its freshness.

The delicate notes of orange blossom meet the exotic character of ylang-ylang, while lime and citrus fruits bring a livelier, more vibrant touch.

A floral, fresh and refined balance, imagined like the first hours of the day in Giverny, when the light gently caresses the ponds.

As you taste it, the imagination almost transports you to Claude Monet’s gardens: reflections dance on the water, water lilies bloom and time seems to stand still.

A cup designed as an invitation to slow down and fully enjoy the moment.

Les Nymphéas ingredients

A work of art right down to the tin

The encounter between Kusmi Tea and the Nymphéas continues right onto our iconic tin.

For this limited edition, Matin is reproduced identically on the case, transforming the tin into a true work of art.

More than simple packaging, it becomes a piece to display, collect and keep at home. A way to extend the experience beyond tasting and bring a fragment of Claude Monet’s work into everyday life.

Bringing art into everyday life

With Le Thé des Nymphéas, Kusmi Tea also celebrates a certain Parisian art of living, where culture, art and simple pleasures naturally come together.

Reading in a garden, a stroll through a museum, a tea break on a terrace… The Nymphéas tin accompanies these everyday moments and becomes almost an accessory in its own right, reflecting a bright, elegant and poetic lifestyle.

Because after all, contemplating a work of art and savouring a cup of tea may have something in common: taking the time.
