Made up of more than 90% water, consuming cucumber regularly allows you to hydrate gently. The best way? With a carafe of iced mint-cucumber green tea ! If you have trouble thinking about hydrating yourself, this refreshing blend will be a sure source of motivation.

Mint-cucumber green tea in iced version

Start by filling your carafe with simmering water a little more than halfway. Then steep a bag of mint-cucumber green tea and relax for the 10 minutes while the mixture steeps.

Remove the bag and add a large quantity of ice cubes. To spice up your iced tea, add a few slices of cucumber. And there it is, ready! A simple and refreshing recipe, to enjoy in the height of summer.

 

The cordial cocktail

To make this slightly sweet and slightly tangy cocktail, you will need:

  • mint-cucumber green tea (2 spoons for 500ml of brewed tea
  • 100g powdered sugar
  • 6 slices of cucumber
  • 30ml lime juice
  • 50ml of Gin
  • 2.5ml of liquid sugar
  • 1.25ml anise
  • 6 fresh basil leaves
  • 15 ice cubes

In a container, pour 150ml of infused mint-cucumber green tea and add 100g of white powdered sugar and 4 slices of cucumber. Add 5ml of lime juice and whisk the mixture until the powdered sugar is diluted.

In a shaker, crush the basil leaves and the remaining 2 cucumber slices. Add 30ml of the cordial, the lime juice, the Gin, the liquid sugar and the anise. Add 10 ice cubes then shake intensely for 20 seconds.

Prepare the glass, add the remaining ice cubes, then pour the mixture through a strainer. Place a basil leaf and a few slices of cucumber as decoration.

Greek yogurt, cucumber, mint and honey dip

To make this recipe you will need:

  • 150g cucumber
  • 1 clove of garlic
  • 10 mint leaves
  • 300g Greek yogurt
  • 2 teaspoons of acacia honey
  • salt and pepper
  • sesame seeds
  • crackers or wholemeal bread

Start by cutting the cucumber in half, then remove the seeds and finely slice the flesh. Finely chop the mint leaves and grate the garlic clove.

In a bowl, mix the Greek yogurt with honey, salt and pepper. Then add the cucumber, garlic and mint. You can decorate with sesame seeds and a few mint leaves.

Serve chilled with crackers or slices of wholemeal bread!
