Matcha mania

Through the matcha mania, many variations of matcha drinks have been developed. In particular, we have proposed a recipe for matcha dalgona, inspired by the very popular South Korean whipped latte.

For latte lovers, but not only, we propose today a recipe for matcha chai latte that will make you forget your daily morning coffee. Skeptical? We'll prove it to you in less than 5 minutes!

Ingredients to make your chai matcha latte:

• 1 teaspoon of organic matcha green tea powder

• 1 bag of black chai tea, we recommend our comforting Kashmir Chai

• ½ cup of hot water

• ½ cup of milk (we also have a recipe for vegan matcha latte with coconut milk right here)

Start by brewing a black chai tea bag in half a cup of hot water for 3 minutes. In a bowl, sift a teaspoon of organic matcha powder. This will avoid bitter matcha lumps. Then pour in the hot black chai tea and stir with a whisk until you have a frothy dark green liquid.

Now it's up to you to decide whether you prefer a comforting hot drink or an energising cold drink.

For an iced chai matcha latte:

Simply take the milk out of your fridge and pour 300ml of it into a glass (with ice cubes if you wish). Then add the chai-matcha mixture you made earlier, along with 1 teaspoon of vanilla syrup. Mix it all together and you can enjoy a refreshing and nutritious matcha latte!

For a hot matcha latte:

Heat 300 ml of milk and pour it into a glass. Add the chai-matcha tea mixture prepared in the previous step with 1 teaspoon of vanilla syrup. Mix it all together with a milk frother to enjoy the smoothest matcha latte you've ever tasted!
