Flavored blend of black tea and spices

Kashmir Tchai, a spiced black tea steeped in history.

Kashmir Tchai, has a long history behind it… The story of an epic encounter between an organic black tea and a spirited blend of cinnamon, cardamom, ginger, aniseed, and cloves. Let this mixture tell its tale while the heady spices infuse in your cup.

Several centuries ago, Russia discovered tea and was won over immediately. Tsar Peter the Great took steps to ensure his country would never go without this delicious beverage, and with that the first tea routes began from China. Camels, yaks, and horses were led from country to country, valiantly carrying kilos of tea along the mule-drivers’ paths, zigzagging roads, and steep trails.

The original organic spiced Kashmir Tchai black tea is said to have been one of the first to be transported along the Tea Road. If you listen carefully, the plants and spices will whisper about their incredible journey. Can you feel the full history of the tea you are drinking?

A tea break with a Kashmir Tchai by Kusmi is enough to take you back through time – with the most deliciously spiced organic tea as your traveling companion.

Organic tea available loose because it’s good for the planet, and in tea bags for when you’re on the go.

The info you need

The processions of merchants traveling along the Tea Road – the longest, highest, and most uneven of all the world’s ancient trade routes – disappeared with the arrival of the Trans-Siberian Express in 1905, but they are a major part of the wonderful history of tea! Kashmir Tchai, meanwhile, was consumed in China with a drop of milk. This tradition continues today in India and Nepal, where drinkers even add a generous serving of sugar to create a delicious and even more comforting tea.

100 g tea-filled tin 10/21/24 Absolutely fantastic. It's the only flavour I really remembered, but I bought a nice big tin which is really secure. I was happy to see you can also buy refil bags rather than keep having to buy tins. I'll be getting a container and a big bag on my next buy, I think!
