Only the finest shoots are picked with the greatest care. They are then laid flat and dried before being delicately ground into a fine powder between two blocks of granite. Quite the work of art! The resulting emerald green color is truly incomparable.
Did you know? Matcha is the only tea whose entire leaves are completely absorbed in water. We actually drink the entire thing, and not just the water it is infused in! This experience offers an inimitable feeling on the palate. We told you it was unique!
Organic matcha is therefore quite a singular tea, and yet often served to several people at once. It is the star of the renowned Japanese tea ceremonies founded on harmony, respect, purity, and calm. With this tea, happiness is just a sip away!
And that’s not all! Matcha is also used in pastries, lending your madeleines, financiers, and other cakes a particular flavor and color. Now you understand why it has been the favorite tea of Buddhist monks, samurais, and emperors… Will you be able to resist?

Here are the instructions for preparing a delicious matcha according to the age-old ritual. It’s then up to you to decide if you want to use the traditional whisk (chasen) and spatula (chasaku) made with bamboo… Either way, you’re sure to love it!
1. Pour 2-4 spatulas of matcha into a bowl.
2. Add mineral water heated to 80°C / 175°F
3. Whisk vigorously by making a “W” shape
4. When the mixture is smooth and a layer of foam appears on the top, enjoy on its own or sweetened!
