You may be wondering what is matcha, and why is it only found in powder form? Quite simply because matcha green tea powder is the result of grinding high quality green tea leaves, which are previously dried in the sun. This is how we obtain this characteristic green color.

Ingredients to make your vegan matcha latte recipe:

  • 1 teaspoon of organic matcha green tea powder
  • ½ cup hot water
  • ½ cup coconut milk from a carton
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla sugar
  • 1 teaspoon of concentrated coconut milk
  • coconut shavings (optional)

Start by sifting a teaspoon of organic matcha powder into a bowl. Add 1 teaspoon of vanilla sugar then pour in ½ cup of hot water. Whisk in a W shape until the mixture becomes foamy.

In a glass, mix ½ cup of coconut milk with 1 teaspoon of concentrated coconut milk using a milk frother. Add a few ice cubes then pour in the matcha. Add some coconut shavings if you wish, and your vegan coconut milk matcha latte is ready to enjoy!
