Matcha, from Japan to the rest of the world
Matcha, a fine powder of green tea leaves, is traditionally prepared and consumed during a tea ceremony, emblematic for the Japanese. But its use has been democratised in many food sectors. In particular, there are many pastries made with matcha, from the most traditional to the most Western: mochi, doriyaki, madeleines, logs or even macaroons, the possibilities are endless.
Matcha is also enjoying a strong craze among drinks: dalgona matcha latte, tchaï matcha latte, matcha latte with white chocolate, bubble tea matcha green tea, matcha green juice... Today we offer you a simple, efficient, delicious and VEGAN recipe: an organic matcha green tea latte, with coconut milk
Matcha green tea powder is good, organic is even better!
As you can see, the star of our recipes is our organic matcha green tea powder.
You may wonder what matcha is and why it is only available in powder form. Simply because matcha green tea powder is the result of grinding high-quality green tea leaves, which are sun-dried beforehand. This is how the characteristic green colour is obtained.
Did you know that? Matcha is the only tea whose leaves are completely absorbed by water. So you drink the essence of the leaf, not just the infusion!
Ingredients to make your vegan matcha latte recipe:
