The advantage of hot drinks in summer
By drinking hot, when it is already hot outside, we send a strategic signal to our body. Perceiving this new source of heat, the body will want to regulate itself, so that the body temperature does not rise too much. To achieve this, it will produce more sweat. This phenomenon of sweating contributes to the thermoregulation : by releasing heat to the skin, body temperature decreases. Result: the hot drink indirectly produces a “freshness effect”.
Conversely, a very cold drink will send the opposite message to the brain. Thinking that the body is likely to cool down, the body will block sweating in order to maintain the heat stored by the body. Sometimes, an energy expenditure may even be incurred to produce heat and compensate for the difference between the iced drink and the body temperature (37°C). Which reduces the immediate benefit (for the body) of very cold drinks. Even if in terms of sensation of freshness and taste, we can only encourage you to continue to treat yourself!
The limits of hot drinks in summer
As explained above, hot drinks will cause the body to produce sweat. The problem is that when you sweat, you become more dehydrated. If you drink hot, you will have to think about drinking more regularly. Especially since the tea is a diuretic drink, which stimulates the functioning of the kidneys and promotes elimination.
So, what is the best compromise for the body in summer? Probably drinking lukewarm drinks, at room temperature or cold, but not iced, drinks. The closer a drink is to body temperature, the less effort we will need to make to regulate our internal temperature.
What teas can you drink hot in summer?

In fact, all teas can be drunk hot in summer, but some are more in tune with the summer atmosphere. This is the case of Moroccan tea, the traditional mint green tea, consumed there, summer and winter. Traditionally, it is served in teapots in stainless steel or silver, with a long pouring spout and matching tray. Natural green tea (Chinese “Gunpowder” tea) is infused, as well as a bouquet of mint, before sweetening well before tasting. Enough to land in Morocco, from the very first sip!
Other summer tea suggestions: Organic White Bellini, whose aromas of peach and apricot remind us of market stalls, Organic Tropical White, which takes us under the sunlight of the tropics, thanks to mango and passion fruit. Or even the exotic Blue detox, a blend of green tea and mate, flavored with pineapple.
