Pink October : a tea committed to the fight against breast cancer

Pink October
Kusmi Tea x Pink Ribbon: an organic green tea with mint and rose 100% committed to Pink October

Kusmi Tea remains committed to the fight against breast cancer and is once again donating the profits from its tea sales to the Pink Ribbon association.

At Kusmi Tea, more than three-quarters of the employees are women, as are most of its customers. It is, therefore, quite natural that, sensitive to their concerns and well-being, the brand takes care of them daily and is committed to major women's causes.

Since 2015, Kusmi has been one of the benefactors of the Pink Ribbon association, founded by the Estée Lauder group and Marie Claire magazine.

We tell you all about the fight against breast cancer and the Pink Ribbon association.

Why is the colour pink in October?

WHAT IS PINK OCTOBER?

Pink October is a month of commitment and prevention to inform and raise awareness about the fight against breast cancer. The aim of this campaign is to raise funds for breast cancer research, but also to raise awareness of the importance of screening and to encourage women to self-examine.

Today, the pink ribbon is much more than just a little piece of pink cloth. It is the international symbol for the fight against breast cancer. Wearing a pink ribbon is a way of showing your commitment to the fight against breast cancer and your solidarity with patients.

It is, therefore, quite natural that the association "Breast Cancer, Let’s talk about it" became "Pink Ribbon" in 2020.

Prevention for a better cure: the Pink Ribbon association

Today in France, one woman in nine will be affected by breast cancer during her lifetime. Fortunately, from year to year, research advances, in particular thanks to the Pink Ribbon association.

"Anticipating", "preventing", and "raising awareness" are actions that can effectively limit the consequences of this disease. This is what brought founding members of the Association: a cosmetics group, Estée Lauder France and Marie Claire magazine, together for the first time 26 years ago, which will bear the name of this campaign "Breast Cancer, Let’s talk about it!

Like us, many partners are also supporting the cause, enabling donations for research to grow.

For example, in 2003, the French association, Pink Ribbon, created the Pink Ribbon Awards "to support research efforts, both clinical and biological, as well as innovations and remarkable progress in screening techniques, reconstructive surgery, psychology and improving the quality of life for women with breast cancer.”

Pink Ribbon x Kusmi Tea: A box of tea for solidarity

Let's face it, there's no shortage of incentives to combine good deeds with the pleasure of tasting... The freshness of the mint, the subtlety of the rose and the most delicate green tea base make this a recipe that is as greedy as it is committed. And for the occasion, it has been given a new limited edition box!
