What is fruit tea?
A fruit tea, also called fruity tea, is a fragrant tea into which pieces of dried fruit, petals, sometimes a pinch of spices and natural aromas are slipped. The idea is that these gourmet accents enhance the tea leaf without covering it.
Not to be confused with fruit infusion, which does not contain Camellia sinensis leaves. There, we only find fruits, plants and flowers: a cup of caffeine that can be enjoyed at any time, including the evening.
Our families of fruit teas
Red fruit teas: delicious and tangy
Strawberry, raspberry, blackcurrant, cherry, pomegranate. The family of red fruit teas brings together our most iconic blends. We find there AquaRosa, with hibiscus and berries, as well as Four Red Fruits, a mixture of raspberry, cherry, redcurrant and strawberry.
Tropical fruit teas: sunny escape
Mango, pineapple: tropical fruit teas, it’s the invitation to travel.
AquaExotica and its solar yellow box, Tropical White for lovers of delicate white tea, or even BB Detox and its grapefruit-apple stopover: recognizable references among a thousand.
Citrus teas: invigorating and lively
Bergamot, lemon, bitter orange. Citrus fruits provide incisive freshness, ideal in the morning. They are found in Earl Grey, St. Petersburg or Prince Vladimir.
How to prepare fruit tea?
In the hot version, allow 2 g of tea for 25 cl of water, at 90°C for one black tea or an infusion, and at 75°C for a green tea or white. Leave to infuse for 3 to 5 minutes depending on the base and your taste.
In the iced version, we prefer cold brew: a spoonful of tea in 25 cl of fresh water, one hour in the refrigerator, then filter and add a few ice cubes. AquaExotica and AquaRosa are our summer references, their fruity notes are fully revealed when cold.
Benefits of fruit teas
Fruit tea is first and foremost a ritual of pleasure. It contributes to daily hydration, provides natural antioxidants from the tea leaf, and theine-free versions, such as infusions and rooibos, invite themselves without constraint into the evening break. A simple way to act for your well-being, one cup at a time.
