Kusmi Tea's production workshops (nearly 2,500 m²) and logistics warehouses (6,600 m²) are located in Saint-Vigor d’Ymonville, in Normandy. A nice symbol, since Le Havre is twinned with Saint Petersburg, the birthplace of Kusmi! These workshops are entirely internalized, which allows the brand to control its manufacturing process. From the Norman warehouses, the teas leave in France and throughout the world, since Kusmi is distributed in no less than 35 countries.
If you are ever lucky enough to be able to visit the Kusmi workshops, you will certainly be impressed by their manufacturing techniques that are both modern and artisanal, a legacy of cutting-edge know-how and centuries-old traditions. So many expert hands work in collaboration with some of the most advanced machines on the market... All to offer you quality teas, made from choice raw materials.
Mix, flavor, package teas and infusions in France
Thus, each of the stages of production is carried out on site: the production of mixtures – in a large cylinder from which an irresistible smell escapes -, their flavoring (lemon, bergamot, mint, red fruits), then the packaging of the loose tea, in boxes or in sachets. The bags themselves – made of biodegradable plant fabric – are also produced in Saint-Vigor d’Ymonville. Indeed, Kusmi has for some time now started to relocate this activity. At the end of 2018, this relocation is completely completed and the Kusmi bags will then be 100% Made in Normandy, Made in France !
