Our organic Glögg will warm you up in just a few sips and is best enjoyed by the fireplace with your loved ones. Just like its tart hibiscus and blackcurrant notes that blend with the captivating flavors of cinnamon, licorice and cardamom.

The info you need

If you love Glögg piping hot, you’ll also enjoy it iced! To keep you heading due north, we’ve whipped up two cocktail* recipes that will keep the spirit alive long after Christmas.

Let’s get started with the base—actually the two bases you’ll need to make the cocktails: Glögg syrup and iced Glögg.

Materials: a saucepan, cocktail glasses, a measuring cup, a muddler and a shaker.

Base 1: Glögg syrup

Ingredients: 3 teaspoons of Glögg / 2 cups (50cl) + 2 tablespoons of cane sugar syrup.

Pour the cane sugar syrup and Glögg into a saucepan. Let the mixture simmer for 3 to 4 minutes and filter.

Base 2: Iced Glögg

Ingredients: 5 teaspoons of Glögg / 10 ice cubes / 4 cups of water (1L)

Steep the Glögg in simmering water, just like how you prepare your hot herbal tea, and add the ice cubes.

Glögg on Fire – the cocktail that will light you up

For 4 glasses: 1 standard size bottle of red wine (750 ml) / 2/3 cups (15cl) of Glögg syrup / 1 cup (25cl) of iced Glögg / 2 lemon slices.

Add the Glögg syrup, iced Glögg, red wine and 2 lemon slices to a saucepan. Let the mixture simmer for 15 minutes. Pour into cocktail glasses and decorate with lemon slices (optional).

Frosty Glögg – the cocktail that will break the ice

For one glass: ¼ of a lemon or lime / 1.75 oz (5cl) vodka / 0.5 oz (1,5cl) of Glögg syrup / 2 oz (6cl) iced Glögg / 0.75 oz (2cl) blackcurrant juice

Muddle the lemon or lime and add the rest of the ingredients to the shaker. Shake well and pour into the glasses.
