Glögg from Kusmi Tea

A spicy organic infusion with blackcurrant and hibiscus to sip all winter long, even in the most icy cold.

Ah, the magic of Scandinavian Christmas...

Let's face it, the Nordic festivities have a unique charm! Of course, there are the caped reindeer, with their cheery bells and cozy blanket sleds, gambolling happily in the pristine snow. And then there are the little remote villages with their pretty coloured houses, where people share irresistible cinnamon biscuits while chatting... But the real warmth of these cold countries comes from the mugs that clink together as people toast friendship and conviviality. So this winter, Kusmi is taking us to Scandinavia. We need sweetness so badly!

Le Glögg, une infusion chaleureuse

Glögg, a warm infusion

To warm our hearts and bodies with just a few sips, the tea house has revisited the traditional recipe for Glögg, a Scandinavian spiced mulled wine, to make a delicious infusion to be enjoyed all winter long, even in the coldest of weather. The result is an organic Glögg Kusmi Tea with a warm amber liqueur, whose tangy notes of hibiscus, blackcurrant and grape mingle generously with the bewitching flavours of cinnamon, cardamom and liquorice. This is a pure spice delight combining innovation and tradition, free of theine (and alcohol), to be drunk over and over again without any moderation. So this season, no fireplace without fire, and no fairy tale with friends without Glögg by Kusmi!

What ou need to know

Did you know? The story goes that in the 16th century, the Glögg warmed Scandinavian messengers travelling on horseback in the cold. This mulled wine, to which many therapeutic virtues were attributed, was called Hypocras, in reference to Hippocrates, the famous "father of medicine". It was not until the 19th century that it got its current name, 'glögg' meaning 'warmth' or 'shine' in Swedish. So, are you ready to shine too? You're sure to fall for Kusmi Tea's organic Glögg infusion, comfort and warmth from the North!
