Black tea from China flavoured with natural essences of bergamot.
Earl Grey is probably the most drank flavoured black tea in the world.
Its name comes from Lord Grey, First Minister of Great Britain at the beginning of the XIXth century, creator of this unexpected worldwide success: in fact, it is said that Charles Grey would have received as a gift some black China tea flavoured with bergamot ; he liked this blend so much that he asked his tea merchant to make this tea for his family.
Bergamot is a little lemon from China that also grows in Sicilia; its fresh and tingy flavour goes perfectly well with tea.
Tasting advice: delicious plain, sweetened or with a dash of milk
